Meet your instructor

My name is Carlos Bezerra, founder and licensed driving instructor. I began teaching driver education in 1993 on the East Coast, with four years of hands-on instruction in New York and New Jersey. After a successful career transition into pharmaceutical and medical sales; where I further honed my communication and coaching skills. I’m thrilled to return to the field I’ve always been passionate about: helping people become safe, confident drivers.

Now based in Los Angeles, I’ve been proudly serving the local community for over two years and look forward to continuing this journey. I bring over 30 years of personal driving experience and deep knowledge of defensive driving practices to every lesson.

At Let’s Go For A Ride, our instruction is grounded in the proven SIPDE method: Search, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute; a trusted system that helps drivers stay alert, make smart decisions, and stay safe on the road. This method is especially important in a complex city like Los Angeles, where high traffic, diverse road users, and fast-changing conditions demand strong habits and focused awareness.

  • Yes! I have study materials, tools, and resources to help you prepare for and pass your written exam at any California DMV.

  • Yes, you can. I can issue you a state-approved student license provided by the California DMV, which allows you to begin lessons even without a permit.
